The Copenhagen Card is a type of sightseeing pass which offers free entry to the many different top sights, landmarks, and attractions in the city. It also allows unlimited travel on all the forms of public transport networks in Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen card is available with 4 different validity durations, i.e., 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and 120 hours. The child card is valid for children between ages 10 to 15 years, while those older than 16 years need to purchase the adult card. An adult with the Copenhagen card can bring two kids younger than 9 years for free. Adult cards cost 2 times the price of a child card. Paying disabled travelers can take an attendant with them to all the places they visit free of charge.
After the card has been paid for, customers need to fill the start time when they are ready to use the card for the first time. This will start the clock ticking on the validity of the card. You may fill the start time just before using it to gain admission to the first tourist attraction in Copenhagen and thus prolong the validity of the card.
The Copenhagen card includes the following benefits:
Tourists can purchase the Copenhagen card on the web. After placing the order, a voucher will be sent to you by email. The vouchers needs to be brought to any of the different tourist information sites located in the city so that it can be swapped for a card. The airport has one such easily accessible information branch. Another one is located Vesterbrogade in city center.
Travelers who do not want to buy or book the card online or in advance can purchase it after landing in the city. Different sales stops are located all over Copenhagen, including hotels, hostels, newsagents, etc. You can buy the Copenhagen card at these sales points and have one of the most enjoyable trips whilst saving on both time and money.
