The Atelier des Lumières (Studio of Lights) is a brand new digital arts museum in Paris. It is created by CultureSpaces, a museum foundation that specializes in art displays. With the help of state of the art innovation projection technology, the digital art museum showcases some of the most iconic names in the world of art and creativity.
There are around 140 laser video projectors on and across the 10-meter-high walls, all focused on transforming these iconic works to life. You are sure to be enthralled by the engaging and panoramic show which contain captivating music by the likes of Beethoven, Wagner, Chopin through 50 speakers that compliment the dazzling light show, giving you an immersive 3D audio-visual experience.
LaHalle is dedicated to the works of Gustav Klimit and Vienne painting that date back to more than 100 years. There are also works by Hundertwasser and Egon Schiele. You can also check out a smaller room called Le Studio that houses work of emerging artists.
Digital art museum is definitely a step in the right direction to move in sync with times. The learning style of people have evolved over the years, and the dwindling queues to traditional museums are a testimony of people looking for something that can keep them rooted to the history with a blend of modern offering. As Culturespaces president Bruno Monnier says, “The marriage of art and digital technology is, in my opinion, the future of the dissemination of art among future generations.”
Atelier des Lumières opened on April 13. 2018 and witnesses nearly 150,000 people visiting every month; the sheer number grows with every passing month. The tribe of digital art museums are growing with Mori Building Digital Arts Museum in Tokyo, Japan. Culturespaces intends to open digital art museums in South Korea. The company will also open a digital art museum in US, in 2019

The ticket booking closes at 4 PM. For Saturday and Sunday, or otherwise, there is an option to book your ticket online. You can go to the website – https://www.atelier-lumieres.com/en/home and check the schedule. It is ideal to book tickets in advance, from the website. Once you have the tickets downloaded in the PDF format, you can save them on your mobile device, or have them printed out.
The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. For Friday and Saturday, it extends till 10 PM.
