Santorini is renowned for its luxurious hotels, some of which are boutique hotels. There are no large hotel chains, mega resorts or all-inclusive stays here. The towns on the west, along the caldera is where you are likely to find the majority of 5-star properties on Santorini.

The four villages of Firostefani, Fira, Oia and Imerovigli offer some of the best views from the island. All three towns are easily accessible with the exception of Oia, which is a 2-hour hike or a 10-minute cab or bus ride towards the north of Imerovigli.
