If you are looking for a more adventurous escapade, visit the Hurricane Harbor, which is quite literally stuffed to the gills with slides, rides and other splashing attractions for people across all age groups.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
While Hurricane Harbor has quite a few kid-friendly areas across the 47-acres of land over which it is spread, this water park is a haven for extreme thrill seekers. Here you will find everything from lazy rivers and a million-gallon wave pool to jaw-dropping water slides and a dozen other rides.
The highlights of the park include the Black Hole, which takes rider down an 80-feet twisted tube through darkness, and the Geronimo, which is a steep body slide ride down six-stories. Visitors can also opt for the combination ticket and enjoy uninterrupted access to both parks. If you are visiting between May and mid-September, keep an eye out for ongoing events.

NRH20 Family Water Park
Located mid-way between Fort Worth and Dallas in the North Richland Hills lies the NRH20 Family Water Park. Spread over 17-acres of land, the park features 22 water slides, a 12,000 sq.-ft wave pool, a 660 ft long river and a children’s swimming pool complete with a five-level water playground.
The water park is also home to the Green Extreme, which is the world’s largest uphill water coaster, measuring 81-feet high and 1,100 feet long. Aside from the numerous rides, guests can enjoy a game of volleyball on the white sand beach or take a dip in the 5,300 sq.-ft pool on site.

Although not the largest waterpark in this list, Hawaiian Falls packs in quite a few rides for families to enjoy. And the best part about the Hawaiian Falls Waterpark is that there are four locations in the Dallas Fort Worth area to choose from!
Apart from the general wave pools, lazy rivers and water games complexes, families can also enjoy state-of-the-art rides that include everything from tube slides equipped with music and laser lights to four-story drops. Hawaiian Falls Waterpark remains open throughout the week from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark
The Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark boasts of eleven different waterslides, including the tallest indoor Aqualoop in the country and the first indoor double rider Aquasphere inner tube ride! Jadewaters at the Anatole
Located in the Design District of Dallas near downtown, Jadewatwers at the Anatole was created to appeal to hotel guests of all ages. The hotel is spread over 4-acres of land and features a 7,000 sq.-ft beach-entry family pool, with two 30-feet tall dive boards and a 630 feet long lazy river!
Additional perks at the Jadewaters include poolside cabanas, outdoor bar and grill and daybeds! A true tropical paradise, spread across 80,000 sq.-ft, this one is open only to hotel guests and the best part about visiting with the family is the non-existent queues. Spending one night at the hotel is less expensive than visiting some of the other water parks in this list, giving you more reason to head over this summer!
The Great Wolf Lodge has twelve water slides, seven pools, and a multi-level tree house decked up with a load of interactive features. Apart from the indoor water park the lodge features a seasonal outdoor park named Racoon Lagoon too!

King Spa and Waterpark
When you are not in the mood to try out water slides and chill by the pool, visit King Spa, a family-friendly Korean bathhouse where guests can swim, steam, soak, eat or spend the night depending on their mood.
Apart from the therapeutic experience, guests can also relax in the massive indoor water park that includes everything from a children’s pool and whirlpool to a therapeutic bade pool, apart from a lazy river and a 30-foot water slide. Burger’s Lake
Burger’s Lake is a spring-fed watering hole from the 1950s located on the outskirts of Fort Worth, lined with a plethora of diving boards, a white sand beach, a 25-foot trapeze that swings over the water and a 20-foot-high slide.
Apart from the water activities, Burger’s Lake also has a 30-acre park featuring tennis and volleyball courts apart from picnic tables, grills and concession stands. Although the park requires a 45-minute hike from Dallas, the scenery makes the trip worthwhile!
